Our Services
Under Workplace Safety and Health (WSH Officer) Regulations – 2nd Schedule, the following workplaces are to appoint Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer;
- Shipyards in which any ship, tanker and other vessels are constructed, reconstructed, repaired, refitted, finished or broken up.
- Factories used for processing petroleum or petroleum products.
- Factories in which building operations or works of engineering construction of a contract sum of $10 million or more are carried out.
- Any other factories in which 100 or more persons are employed, except those which are used for manufacturing garments.
Workplaces or projects which does not falls under the requirements above are also encouraged to engage a WSH officer to assist in safety and health implementation such as risk management or to conduct safety inspection of workplaces and providing advices on improving workplace safety and health.
Under Workplace Safety and Health (Construction) Regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Coordinator shall be appointed in respect of every worksite where the contract sum of the building operation or works of engineering construction carried out therein is less than S$10 million.
Under the Fire Safety Act, a building which satisfy at least one of the following conditions are required to appoint a Fire Safety Manager (FSM):
- 1. Public Building (inclusive of Commercial Building)
- is of 9 storeys or more (including any basement) in height;
- is used, constructed or adapted to be used as a hospital;
- has a floor area of 5000 square metres or more; or
- has an occupant load of 1000 persons or more
- Industrial Building
- has a floor area or site area of 5000 square metres or more; or
- has an occupant load of 1,000 persons or more
Our FSMs will advise building owners on the compliance to Fire Safety legislations such as Fire Safety Act and Fire Code. We will also conduct regular fire safety inspections and periodic emergency drills to prepare the building occupants on response procedures to various types of emergency scenarios.
Under Environmental Public Health (Employment of Environment Control Officer) Order, ECO shall be employed in construction worksite where the contract sum in relation to the worksite exceeds S$10 million.
The appointed ECO are to advise Occupiers of construction worksites on the compliance to applicable environmental requirements such as noise limits and controls, vector controls and pollution controls etc.
We assist our clients to build up their WSH Capabilities, gain recognition and business competitive edge by guiding them through a step-by-step BizSAFE Certification.
Our BizSAFE consultancy services will include assisting Companies to comply with the enhanced BizSAFE requirements to implement risk management for anti-terrorism, in line with our national movement known as SGSecure.
Other benefits of attaining BizSAFE certification includes;
– Creating a safer and healthier workplace for employees
– Qualifying to tender for government projects
– Displaying the BizSAFE logo on business collaterals (eg letterheads, name cards, company vehicles etc)
We also assist current BizSAFE enterprises to renew their BizSAFE certification.
Since September 2011, the Workplace Safety and Health Act, regulated by Ministry of Manpower are applicable to all workplaces (including offices) which require employers to implement risk management to eliminate or reduce risks arising from work activities. Failing to do so, the employer shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction;
- for a first offence, to a fine not exceeding $10,000; and
- for a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
We assist Companies to conduct and prepare risk management documentations, so as to reduce the safety and health risks associated with work processes in the workplace. We can also conduct in-house trainings on risk management to boost the competencies of the risk management team members
Workplaces such as construction sites, manufacturing / metal working industries, chemical industries and shipyards are statutorily required to implement a Safety and Health Management System to manage the workplace’ safety and health through a systematic approach.
Below are workplaces stipulated under the WSH (Safety and Health Management System and Auditing) Regulations which are required to implement Safety and Health Management System
1. Any premises which is a worksite.
2. Any premises which is a shipyard.
3. Any factory engaged in the manufacturing of fabricated metal products, machinery or equipment and in which 100 or more persons are employed.
4. Any factory engaged in the processing or manufacturing of petroleum, petroleum products, petrochemicals or petrochemical products.
5. Any premises where the bulk storage of toxic or flammable liquid is carried on by way of trade or for the purpose of gain and which has a storage capacity of 5,000 or more cubic metres for such toxic or flammable liquid.
6. Any factory engaged in the manufacturing of —
(a) fluorine, chlorine, hydrogen fluoride or carbon monoxide; and
(b) synthetic polymers.
7. Any factory engaged in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products or their intermediates.
8. Any factory engaged in the manufacturing of semiconductor wafers.

Confined Space Assessment
We provide atmospheric testing for personnel entering confined space for work. The assessment will be conducted by our experienced and qualified Confined Space Safety Assessor
The purpose of confined space assessment is to ensure the confined space is safe for entry and is eliminated of hazardous gases, in compliance to WSH (Confined Space) Regulations.
Workplace Noise Monitoring
We provide noise monitoring service for workplace required under WSH (Noise) Regulations
The objective of noise monitoring is to determine the ambient noise level at the workplace and to identify the areas, if any, where excessive noise occurs. The aim is to control noise in workplaces and conserving the hearing of workers, in compliance to the statutory requirements.
Heat Stress Monitoring
We provide heat stress monitoring service for workplaces in which the workers might or are exposed to heat stress during their work.
Heat stress, if not controlled well, can lead to the development of heat stroke. Under the Workplace Safety and Health Act, all stakeholders are responsible to ensure measures are taken to minimise the risk of heat stress among their workers.
The objective of heat stress monitoring is to determine the heat stress indexes in the workplace and to identify the areas, if any, where workers are exposed to hazardous heat environment. The aim is to ensure that necessary measures are taken to reduce the heat stress which workers are exposed to (if any).
